Ashka Salon Spa has been doing lash extensions for a little while now! I interviewed Emma, our Lash Extension Specialist, so that I could find out more about it.
Josie: Why did you want to do lash extensions?
Emma: I wanted to do eyelash extensions because I wanted to increase my knowledge in the beauty industry as well as help women feel beautiful and confident. Not everyone has naturally long or thick lashes, so I wanted to learn a way to help women feel more feminine.
Josie: What is your favorite thing about doing lash extensions?
Emma: My favorite thing about doing eyelash extensions would have to be the transformation and the reaction I get from my clients. It’s so satisfying!
Josie: What are the three most frequently asked questions about lash extensions?
Emma: The three most asked FAQs I get would be:
- Can I wear makeup with them? Which you can, just not waterproof or fiber mascara.
- Can I go swimming with them? Yes, but you do need to wait 24 hours before getting them wet.
- How long so they typically last? About 3-4 weeks, depending on how well they are taken care of.
Josie: What is the best way to care for your lash extensions?
Emma: The best way to care for them would be to not use oil based makeup removers, be gentle with them while removing makeup, use a clean mascara wand to Comb them everyday, & to come in for your fills every 3-4 weeks!
Lash Extensions Phone Consultation
Emma does require a phone consultation for her Lash Extensions. She does this so that she can inform her clients about anything prior to the appointment. She also needs to make sure they have not had any major surgeries around or with the eyes in the past 6 months. Emma will also be able to ask what kind of look the client is going for and if they will have allergies or concerns.
All in all “clients should expect the lashes to look longer & fuller but also very natural looking. It doesn’t appear to look like you have fake eyelashes on, which I think is awesome because people want to have more of a natural look.” Emma and the rest of the staff cannot wait for you to call to book your appointment!
Until Next Time,
Josie 🙂
