PROGRAM

We offer a 6-12 month modular training program that is designed to prepare you for success! Training modules cover women’s cutting and coloring, men’s cutting and coloring, airbrush makeup application, advanced texture services, special occasion styling, advanced nail treatments, guest care and business development

COACHING AND DEVELOPMENT

We employ a quarterly coaching and development plan for each individual.  Every quarter you will have time blocked on your schedule with your manager to discuss career and performance goals, opportunities for advancement, upcoming education events and whatever else you decide to bring to the agenda!

Ashka’s professional culture is grounded in support and planning. We offer tools that are a step-by-step path for career growth and a positive work experience. The focus isn’t to simply “get busy” but to develop on the whole as an individual.

Steve and Lisa Curry established Ashka Salon & Spa in 2003. Both having nearly 20 years experience in the beauty industry - they set out to create a culture that empowered stylists to reach their full potential. It was extremely important to them to cultivate an environment where all team members wanted to come in to work and live out their careers in. The very first step to building this environment was to form the company's foundation. If you have recently graduated from cosmetology school and are currently seeking your license, we would love the opportunity to tell you more about our New Talent Training Program. Although a traditional cosmetology school prepares you to pass state boards and service guests...our training program teaches you to perform advanced services, as well as prepares you for achieving your goals, understanding the growth opportunity in our business and outlines all of the expectations of working at Ashka.

Our modular program covers women's cutting and coloring, men's cutting and coloring, airbrush makeup application, advanced texture services, special occasion styling, advanced nail treatments, guest care and business development. These modules are taught by our Training Manager, owners and leadership team and are facilitated by our Senior Mentor Stylists throughout the week.

The New Talent Training Program offers the best of both worlds by capitalizing on the opportunity to learn advanced services at the outset of your career, assist Senior Mentor Stylists who have successfully "walked the walk" for years and get to know the owners and leadership team. Part way through the program you will earn 1-3 days on the floor to begin using these hard-earned skills and cultivate a clientele. When you graduate from this program and earn your full-time schedule on the floor you will be ready to face whatever challenge comes your way!

Our New Talent Stylists are the best around and we look to hire professionals for this program who have diverse areas of experience including those who have not attended AVEDA Institutes. If you have goals, dreams and a drive to do what it takes to jump start your career, then this is the program for you. We hire 2-5 assistants per year on a rotating schedule so we are constantly seeking the right candidates.
