A typical application will include 1-3 rows of hair extensions that wrap around your head in a horseshoe shape and fall into your natural hair growth pattern. These rows of gorgeous hair extensions are attached to your natural hair with a series of tiny custom-colored beads placed approximately 2mm off of your scalp. The hair extension are then sewn with a custom method and colored thread into the beads. This is the BEST process for application because there is no adhesive, no bonds, no chemicals, no braid and therefore…NO tension and less damage!
Not every beaded or sewn-in method is the same. Our expert team of Master Stylists are certified in this method, because unlike other “beaded” or “hand tied” methods, we don’t over direct your natural hair out of its natural pattern. This can create pain, tension, un-comfortability when sleeping and can also limit your preferred styling methods.
How Do I Get Started?
Our process is completely customized to YOU from start to finish…we aren’t kidding, not one guest or application is the same! This is a summary of what to expect when you decide to get custom hand tied weft extensions at Ashka:
- Fill out our online consultation form (insert link)
- Within 24 hours (excluding weekends and holidays) one of our Master Extensions Specialists will reach out to you via your preferred method of contact
- You will schedule a complementary virtual consultation to address your hair goals and have any initial questions answered
- If you want to move forward, we will schedule a short 15 minute in-person consultation to confirm all of your preferences, answer final questions and choose your custom hair color swatch
- You will put down a non-refundable 50% deposit for the day of your application appointment…then your Master Extensions Specialist will order your luxurious hair and when it arrives, they will hand paint each weft to blend with your own custom color perfectly
- IT’S YOUR BEST HAIR DAY EVER! You will come in for your appointment and your Master Extensions Specialist will custom color your hair and apply your hand painted-extensions and then cut and style your hair…AMAZING!
On the day of your appointment, you should plan to be in the salon for 3-5 hours total. Every minute will be worth it when you are done! These are also the best extensions for living an active lifestyle. They require minimum day-to-day maintenance and unlike other types of extensions, these can be put in a sexy top knot or voluminous pony with ease. Once you have them, you will want to keep them forever!
How Do I Maintain My New Do?
Your initial application will last 8-12 weeks depending on your care, the condition of your scalp and how quickly your hair grows.
If you are choosing extensions to wear off and on or for special occasions, then you will need to schedule a removal appointment. Great news, removal is so EASY. It will take about 10 minutes for your Master Extensions Specialist to remove them for you. Removal is FREE with your specialist but does not include a wash and blow dry. You can add on your free removal to a blow out, haircut or your next color appointment.
If you are choosing extensions to wear continuously, you will work out a custom plan with your Master Extensions Specialist. This will likely require a routine visit every 8-12 weeks to refresh your custom color and “move up” your extensions.

When we say custom, we mean completely customized for each individual. That means that no two prices or plans may be the same from one guest to the next. However, we try to sum up our pricing here to give you an idea of your investment. Your first appointment’s price is one final and total amount based on your hair goals, the quality of the hair you are choosing and the complexity of your custom color. This initial investment includes all of your consultations, custom color for your natural hair and your extensions, installation of extensions, cutting/blending, a gorgeous finish and styling and an AVEDA take home kit valued at $95!
