    Official Rules

    1. Eligibility
    • Open to individual members of the public, including community teams (Example: Youth Group, Cheer Team, PTA) and businesses (Example: Insurance Office or Retailer)
    • Must be present to win
    1. Requirements
    • No store bought pies, shells or crusts
    • You may use any recipe you choose, as long as it has pumpkin in the ingredients
    • Only 1 pie entered per individual person, team or business
    • You must use your own glass or metal baking dish with your team or individual name clearly marked with masking tape on the bottom
    1. Entry Instructions – Choose one of the following:

    – A. Mail this form to Ashka Salon Plus – 21190 Pontiac Trail, South Lyon, MI 48178

    – B.  Bring this form to Ashka Salon Plus from 10 am until 8 pm, Monday-Saturday

    – C. Go to ashkasalon.com/pumpkin and complete the online entry form

    1. Deadline
    • Must enter using one of the above methods by Sunday, September 15, 2019
    1. Categories (we are a salon after all J)
    • Best “Cut” – Best overall appearance at time of entry
    • Best “Color” – Most innovative + creative pie, based on the recipe AND/OR appearance
    • Best “Texture” – Best tasting pie
    1. Prizes
    • Each participant will receive a $20 Ashka Salon Gift Card just for participating
    • The winner in each category will receive a prize package of $200 including a $100 Gift Card to Ashka Salon Plus, a $50 Amazon Gift Card + a $50 Mystery Gift (three prize packages will be given away in total)
    • Each contestant (individual, team or business) will be announced live at the Pumpkinfest during the Pie Baking Contest
    1. Agreement of Contestants – By entering this Pumpkin Pie Contest you agree to have your photo taken, your pie’s photo and related photos of the contest used on various community websites, including ashkasalon.com and any related social media accounts. You will receive no compensation. You also agree that all decisions are final and the rules, judges and operation of the contest are ultimately up to the owners of Ashka Salon Plus.
    2. Logistics
    • You will be contacted the week before the competition to be told where to bring your pie at the South Lyon Pumpkinfest
    • Your pie plate can be picked up from Ashka Salon Plus the week following the contest, along with your thank you gift!
